Now that daylight savings time has really come into full swing, the kitties are taking advantage of the sun finally shining onto their cat tree.

Two very content little kitties.

It was so nice in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. Probably unseasonably nice. The rain moved in last week and hasn’t let up a bit at all.
Miaosie has been cooped up and crying by the door every day for the last week. She wants a walk. Michael and I took advantage of a lull in the rain, quickly saddled her up, and took her outside for a chilly play session.

She loved it. Then got really freaked out by a random passerby and tried to run back to the apartment lobby door.

I honestly thought I was going to have to hunt for the carcass of a pigeon somewhere in my apartment this morning.
I woke up, saw the cats sleeping peacefully with me on the bed, went to the kitchen for some tea, and found feathers all over the floor.
Oh my god.

Where did this come from?
Seriously. What happened?

As far as I can tell, one of the cats must have swiped a pigeon who was stupid enough to land on the ledge right outside the window. I don’t know if the bird got inside and then flew back out or if one of the cats just pawed it. The window is actually almost all the way closed so I don’t think there’s any way a pigeon could have flown in, but what the hell!?
Which one of the cats was it? No idea, but my money is on Miaosie. She had a little white fluffy feather next to her on the blue fuzzy robe when I woke up.
I gingerly poked around the bags on the floor and looked in to their favorites spots and saw no dead pigeon so I think we’re in the clear. There was also no blood. Ugh. Hopefully nothing starts smelling bad in the next couple of days.
